Focus, Target And Modifier Macros For Beginners

Here i'll explain the 2 basic ways to start your macro
/cast and /use both of them can be used for spells (melee ability's also count as spells, Sinister Strike for example), mounts, trinket, parachute cloak or even items from your inventory.

There is just one little difference between them.

/cast will use your equipped trinket, but if it's not equipped it will do nothing.
Where as /use will equip the trinket and use it. Now you know how to start a macro, and to finish it all you do is add the spell/item you want it to use behind it like in the example below.

/cast scatter shot

Now we'll move on to making the macro actually useful, adding lines.
We'll discuss 2 things you can add. Making the spell cast on a different target then the one you are selecting, and making it do something else when you hold down shift (or any other modifier key).

To cast something on different target then your main target you have to add [target=name] or [target=focus].
[target=name] will cast the spell on the target who's name you have filled in, and [target=focus] will cast it on your focus target. If there isn't anyone with the name you filled in in range, or you have no focus target it won't do anything. A example for both is given below.

/cast [target=achai] scatter shot
/cast [target=focus] scatter shot

To make the macro do something else when you hold down a modifier key (shift, ctrl or alt) we're gonna add [mod:shift], [mod:ctrl] or [mod:alt].
This is pretty straightforward, you add it on the same we did previously, between /cast and your spell so it looks like the example below.
/cast [mod:shift] scatter shot
But this isn't enough for it to be actually worth making the macro, as you might as well just keybind it with shift at this point.
To actually make it useful and safe some space we're gonna have to add something the macro will do when the modifier key isn't pressed.
To do this you add ; behind it and then the name of the spell/item you want it to use when you don't press the modifier key like in the example below.
/cast [mod:shift] scatter shot; arcane shot
The macro will now use scatter shot if you press it without holding shift, and cast arcane shot if you hold down shift.

Now lets try combining the two
We're gonna make it so that if we don't press shift the macro will cast scatter shot on my main target and if i press shift it will cast it on our focus target.
To achieve this we are gonna combine [mod:shift] and [target=focus]. You can't just put those two together and make it work, we're gonna have to remove the ] and [ and add , like in the example below.
[mod:shift,target=focus]
But we want it to cast scatter shot, so we will have to add the rest as well like in the example below.
/cast [mod:shift, target=focus] scatter shot; scatter shot
And there you go.
It will now cast scatter shot on the target you have selected when pressing it and cast it on your focus target when holding down shift.

I hope this helps making your own macros now go and have fun pawning.

Taming Spirit Beast Skoll - Day 2 Of My Next Adventure

It come to my attention that name Sköll is Origin from Norse which means a wolf that chased the sun, As you can see i been reading bit about Skoll while camping.
I also happened to come cross a heart warming story from a fellow WOW player and it goes like this.

This was posted 2010/06/20
Whilst flying to Ulduar on my alliance warrior (Nastasty, Eitrigg) to begin an hour long wait to find 25 other people, I spotted a lightning crackle behind a tree.
I moused over it and spotted Skoll. Well, I knew this baby was worth around 40g from it's drops and proceeded to dive toward's him on my flyer.
I dismount, switch stance and smack Skoll square in the side as his unearthly voice roars. Suddenly, an orange text fills my chat bar.
An orc hunter is pleading, and I'm guessing what he wants to tame.
I critical Skoll before I can stop, and the beast is on 36% health left. I stop hitting Skoll and step back without hesitance.
Guilt overwhelms me as i hope my bleed dots won't kill Skoll. He survives with 2% left. I run back and let Skoll reset.
The hunter puts down a frost trap, and I stand back at a safe distance and watch (I've come to notice those lower level than me somehow always die when in a 5 yard proximity to my Shadowmourne, don't ask why...).
He starts to tame the magnificent beast, as it runs toward him. It freezes two feet away from the hunter, in a grand pose, it's face ridden with fury.
The tame finishes, and the hunter stands there, shocked at this marvellous feat. He looks over Skoll, as the beast crackles with lightning. I clap for him.
He turns, and proceeds to spam me with every single thank-you emote in the game (A few strange gestures, but I know what they meant).
I hug him, and fly off, and I'll be honest, it felt good. I finish my raid without a hitch, and call it a night.
I wake up the next morning, and among all the random mail trash of unsuccessful auctions,
I see a post from someone.
In it is a heartfelt message from the hunter thanking me and enclosed was two thousand gold.
I return the message, telling him that although Skoll would've given me 40 gold, he wouldn't have given me a hunter's friendship.

By any chance if this Great Player happen to come cross this artical please do leave us a comment .

Taming Spirit Beast Skoll - Day 1 My Next Adventure

DAY 1 - First things first read all materiel regarding Skoll on net even all the comments regarding Skoll on Thottbot.
NPC location info was great help but camping this Magnificent creature is no joke when you play on a server like mine Sylvanas.
As it seems I'm not alone in this great Hunt LVL90 nervous Horde Hunters from cross server realms that kills any Alliance flying by or even looking at SKOLL spawn locations.
Day one ended, couple of hours getting myself slaughtered by the Bad Guys.

Taming My First Spirit Beast Great Loque'nahak (Mate of Har'koa)

Been my best to level my self to LVL 76 today and once i did went straight to Sholazar Basin, checked TB for spawn locations and made round trip and nothing.
Logged off due to work needed to be finished  and logged back in hour time and did my second run around the spawning locations and nothing, stopped where "Shango" spawns who apparently is just been killed by a Horde lvl 80, waited until he left the poor dead cat so i could skin the beast as soon as i unmounted BANG there in front of me Loque'nahak.

World Of Warcraft Account Restoration

It's been 4 years since I last logged into my all time favorite game World Of Warcraft due to personal matters.
This time period i have played Games such as SWTOR GW2 & XBOX 360 (HALO4)even few browser (mmorpg)games but none of them were able to come par with Giant Of MMORPG World Of Warcraft.

A lot have changed since i last played WOW, Blizzard have introduced new account protection system where you merge your WOW account with BATTLE.NET Account.
So i started the process where all this have to be done and got the system message saying my account is already been merged to a BATTLE.NET account without my acknowledgement.
Tried contacting Blizzard doing all sort of Account restoration process but nothing seems to work finally i created a brand new BATTLE.NET account and tried one and last time contacting Blizzard for support.

I must say Game Master at Blizzard are very friendly to deal with and very cooperative, within mins my account was restored, and was given very helpful advice regarding how to keep my account safe and bringing me to up to date with all the changes including 3 expansions i have missed.

Person who have hacked my account haa been nice enough not to touch my main (HUNTARD) but have created a MAGE instead and left it  surprisingly much needed game currency 36 silver to be exact.

Before my adventures begins in Azeroth i must down load the Game Client with new updates which is whooping 28Gig

Downloading .....

Till Next Time "Be good!"

World Of WarCraft® Live It To Believe It

It all started two years ago when mate of mine Robin ( Norwegian Geek ;I'm just kidding he’s no geek ) told me ooo there is this sweet game you must buy and i was like maybe if i feel like it . That was the start o boy did i like the game its fantastic .Never played a MMORPG game before all standalone games .
And few days later i enter the World Of Warcraft as pretty puff. I’vecreated a totally realistic version of myself as a 7 foot tall blue night elf. You have no idea how you came to enter this World Of Warcraft, but what you do know is that if you don’t help that old woman out by killing seven boars and bringing back their meats for that lady to make into a stew pie, no one will.
And now i was living world of fantasy which are set in the mythic and timeless world of Azeroth.
World of Warcraft (WoW) is only for those who have a passion for action and adventure. In this game, you find it's own community of like minded characters with real people behind them where you come to know some and respect be friends with. without the deception and cruelty you come cross everyday in real world .
